New Age Carpentry and Joinery was established in 1996 by the owner and founder, Scott Broadhurst in the Perth Hills, an area in Western Australia which is known for the natural beauty of its landscape, strong community spirit, relaxed lifestyle and commitment to protecting the environment.

Scott has had 20 years experience working in the building industry as a carpenter. He has been based in Perth for most of this time, although he also spent a year in a Joinery workshop in the UK before heading off to explore Europe and North and South America.

His knowledge of the Perth metropolitan area is extensive; he has worked as a carpenter from Joondalup to Mandurah and is continually pointing out places and areas where he has built a pergola or transformed a client’s backyard. In addition to establishing his business, Scott has had a wide variety of professional experience as a sub-contractor as well as working for large, national building companies. This has given him the opportunity to collaborate with experienced builders and to establish contacts with tradespeople from many different fields in the Perth area.
